January Favorites

How cute is this packaging??
Seriously!
I recieved this eyeshadow in My Glam Bag last month and I have been using ever since.
This shade is perfect for a smoky eye look, just in the crease, or even as an eyeliner.
Im heading over to their website after this post.
The Balm has officially stolen my big 'ol southern girl heart!
I have put down the famous High Beam from Benefit and Mary-Lou has taken its place.
I use her as a highlighter or as a shadow.
The Balm has some VERY good prices too!
I haven't seen this line at Sephora, and Im not sure Ulta carries it either. But check out the website.
You will love the packaging and names of all the products!
This Amika hair oil treatment I recieved sometime last year in my Birchbox.
The little sample I got lasted me a pretty good while.
But like all good things, it came to an end.
I love this stuff because it smell soooo good. So summery and tropical.
A little bit goes a long way.
It doesn't weigh my thick hair down AT.ALL!
I can't tell you how much I love this smell. I would seriously lather it all over me
and lick it off if I could.
I probably would..... if it didn't cost 34 dollhairs!!
Ain't nobody got time fo that!
The only reason I purchased a full size bottle was because I had some birchbox points.
And this bottle will last me a good year and a half, if I don't share it.

Another Birchbox find.
This AMAZING Lip Quench can be found at the Dermstore
for a whopping 12 dollhairs!
When my tube runs dry (I've had it a few months and Im still going strong) I'll definitely
be making a repurchase.
Girls, this stuff is like BUTTAH!
Better.
Smells like heavenly almonds.
Its not glossy. Sooooo moisturizing. My dry lips cry for this stuff. Its in my
pockets 24/7.
*True Story: I had it in my purse one day, driving down the road and my purse spills over.
Well this stuff fell between my seats. I would not settle for chap stick.
I pulled my car over and searched for Miss Lip Quench.
Do your lips a favor and buy some. STAT.
Bath and Body Works has done it again.
This reminds me of a man's perfume that I LOOOOVE.
You know that perfume that everytime you smell it, it gets you a little happy inside?? You know what I mean?
I can't think of the name of it.
I want to walk around the house with my nose in it.
And I just screamed a little when I saw online they have the wallflower scent.
Holla!!

So there's what Im lurving this month.

Especially loving these two

Peace out Sistas. Happy Sunday

**PS- All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for these reviews. Just my love of makeup and all things girly.

No bake energy balls

I posted this picture on my instagram (jennybethk) the other day and got a few request for the recipe.

Since we are giving this Yeats free diet a try, Jess and I were DYING for something sweet. I'm talking about on the verge of eating my arm off.
So I took to pinterest for some yeast free sweets and came across this pin.

Ingredients:
1 cup of oats
1/2 cup almond butter
1/3 raw honey
1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1/2 cup flax seed
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate mini chips

Mix all ingredients and refrigerate for 20 mins to harden up. Form into balls and it's ready to go!
Total cost was $15
*I doubled this recipe and it was gone in one day!! Seriously so good.

And since it's Thursday, Im linking up with Mrs. Yeast Free herself.

Peace out

Wife Lessons: check your pockets

I usually never check pockets. One, because I know I never keep anything in them, two, because if there is something in there I usually find it as I'm throwing stuff in the washer.
Not this time.
My last day of clinically, I find a rotten banana *gag* in my bag. I had a load of whites piling up so I throw my lab coat in. (A load of whites usually consist of my socks and sports bras, my thin old navy jacket I wear in the OR, and Jess' socks.) when I pull them out to put them in the dryer I find my bandage scissors in the washer. I think to myself, " that would have made a terrible noise if that ended up in the dryer. Good thing I found them!" The dryer buzzes and I pull out my load of zebra stripes whites. I had left a freaking PERMANENT MARKER in my lab coat! I was sooooo pissed of! So not only do I have to replace my $40 lab coat, I can't wear my white sports bra with a white t-shirt! AND my dryer is marked up. So I do what I always do, I put my 'zebra striped OR jacket' on and let everyone get a good ol laugh at me. Everyone told me to try acetone fingernail polish remover to get the marks off before I try another load. It didn't take the marks off, it just smeared it. So I washed and dried Jess' uniforms a couple of times to 'set' the marks and keep hem from transferring onto other clothes. So far so good. I just have a dryer that looks like it went to war with a sharpie.

Lesson learned, Ladies.
